Welcome to BT Community Champions

BT Community Champions recognises and rewards BT employees who do voluntary work in their spare time in their local community.

If you're a BT employee from anywhere in the world who has been involved with a community group for more than twelve months, you can apply for a cash grant of up to £500 or a branded sports kit.

"It is a great feeling to know your employer cares about their employee interests outside of the workplace."
(award recipient, USA)

"It makes me feel proud to be an employee"
(award recipient, London)

"I'm delighted BT makes a fitting contribution to the society in which it operates. It puts out a powerful message - WE CARE." (award recipient, South East)

The scheme aims:

  • To recognise and reward BT employees' outstanding commitment to community groups in their own time

"Thank you BT for acknowledging my work in the community." (award recipient, Wales)

  • To encourage BT employees to take their professional skills into their community, and bring their community experience back to BT

"My leadership skills obtained within BT translate very well when dealing with youngsters in cricket!" (award recipient, South East)

  • To let people know, internally and externally, that BT is a champion in the community and a socially responsible employer

"It's fantastic that BT feels a social obligation to sponsor local charitable institutions and puts its money where its mouth is - it makes me feel happy to be part of a socially responsible organisation." (award recipient, Scotland)
